Derricka is founder and owner of Focus Within Therapy and Consulting Services, LLC. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies at Bowling Green State University and obtained her Masters of Science Social Administration at Case Western Reserve University.

Derricka specializes in working with teenagers, young adults, and adults. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her therapeutic approach also draws from evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness, to support clients in creating meaningful life changes.

Her approach is warm, sensitive, and non-judgmental, incorporating creativity, humor, and compassion to create a space where you can safely explore your concerns, identify unhelpful behavioral patterns, and unpack underlying issues. She works alongside you to uncover your most authentic needs and find satisfying ways of getting them met.
